The Best Beef Bone Broth You Have Ever Tasted

Leftover bones from your prime rib or weekend BBQ? Give them a second life as hearty delicious bone broth. We tried a ton of different recipes with all sorts of add-ons, but we find this the ablsoute best. Perfect to have on its own, or added to soups and other dishes.


  • Leftover and/or organic, grass-bed beef bones
  • Filtered water to cover
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Use something organic like Bragg, which is our fav
  • 1 heap sea salt, piled in palm
  • 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic


Put your slow cooker somewhere it wont be disturbed for a day or two. Put bones in. Cover with filtered water until just covered. Add vinegar, salt, garlic. Put the lid on, plug it in, turn it to low, and then leave it. Resist the urge to look at it. Cook for no less than 48 hours. Put a post it note on it which says something like “Do not touch, move or open until” then write the date and time on it. When the time comes, use a slotted spoon to get the bones out and use the broth for anything: soup, stews, or just plain in a mug. Word of warning its a bit fatty so don’t drink too much on its own at one serving – recommend a small cup on its own.

We used some broth we used in a beef stew the next day and its was awesome! Now, go get beefy!
